We seek a skilled and motivated Grant Writer to join our Pointters team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for our mission, excellent writing skills, and a proven track record of successfully securing grants. The Grant Writer will research potential funding opportunities, develop grant proposals, and manage the entire grant application process.

Responsibilities:

• Research and Identify Funding Opportunities:
  • Conduct in-depth research to identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, corporations, and other sources.
  • Stay informed about grant guidelines, eligibility criteria, and deadlines.
• Proposal Development:
  • Collaborate with program managers and other team members to gather information for grant proposals.
  • Write clear, compelling, and persuasive grant proposals tailored to the requirements of each funding opportunity.
  • Ensure all proposals are submitted on time and meet the submission guidelines.
• Grant Application Management:
  • Maintain a comprehensive calendar of grant deadlines and reporting requirements.
  • Work closely with finance and program teams to gather necessary data and ensure accurate budget information for grant proposals.
• Relationship Building:
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with funding organizations.
  • Communicate effectively with program officers and other contacts to gather information and clarify grant requirements.
• Grant Reporting:
  • Coordinate the preparation and submission of grant reports as required by funding organizations.
  • Ensure compliance with reporting deadlines and submission guidelines.
• Grant Monitoring:
  • Track and monitor the progress of funded projects to ensure they align with the approved grant proposals.
  • Work with program managers to collect data and success stories for reporting purposes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in grant writing, with a successful track record of securing grants.
• Strong research skills and ability to identify relevant funding opportunities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with budgeting and financial reporting for grant proposals.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Grant Writing.
• Experience working in a nonprofit or similar organizational setting.
• Knowledge of specific industry regulations and compliance standards.
